Rev. Jonathon Schroder

LEAD PASTOR

Jonathon (Jono) has been in pastoral ministry since 2011, having graduated from the Sydney College of Divinity with a Bachelor of Theology. He previously served for eight years as Senior Pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Echuca-Moama, Victoria, before moving to North Lakes in early 2020 to become Lead Pastor of Axis. In 2025, he was ordained as a minister in the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia.

Jono holds Scripture as the supreme authority for life and faith. His preaching is practical and focused on helping people apply biblical truths in everyday life. He is passionate about discipleship; seeing people understand the good news of Jesus, experience transformation by grace, and step into their God-given purpose.

Jono is married to Yvonne, who hails from California in the United States of America. They met while serving together on a mission outreach team during Yvonne’s time serving with Operation Mobilisation. Together with their three beautiful daughters Hannah, Abigail and Anabelle, they are committed to seeing God’s work continue to grow.
