Hey There Axis,
HAPPY PROTESTANT REFORMATION DAY! Today is the 500th Anniversary of The Reformation! It was on this day in 1517 that catholic priest, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses (protests) to the door of the castle church in Wittenburg, Germany. From there, The Reformation swept across Europe and the British Isles in its various forms. The theme of The Protestant Reformation is that we are saved by grace through faith alone and not of our good works; not by how much we give of our resources and time. Those come AFTER faith in Christ; those come as a proper outworking of our relationship with God in Christ.
So take some time today and THANK GOD for His movement upon the hearts of men like Martin Luther to bring truth, light and life to dead doctrines of the Church in the Middle Ages! Have a lolly in celebration of Protestant Reformation Day instead of sharing a lolly in the celebration of ghosts and ghouls!
This Sunday, you’ll be pleased to hear from both the Thailand Mission Team, AND testimony from Man Camp 2017. You will not want to miss God’s transformative blessing in the lives of Axis people! Also, be prepared for another message from The Blessed Life series on God & Mammon. We’ll see you Sunday!
Onward & upward,
P.S. Mark your calendars for 12 November when Pastor Troy Beer will be our guest speaker. Come and hear what God has laid on Ps Troy’s heart for our church!
