WORSHIP IS... INTIMACY WITH GOD

Psalm 89:19-37 [Picture of God’s love to a man...a king named David]. How could God love David with such intimacy?

1. He ​CHOSE​ David according to his ​HEART​. [ 1 Sam 16].

2. He ​ANOINTED​ him and made a specific ​DEAL​ w/ him. [2 Sa 7].

3. He chose David because of His unfailing & faithful ​GRACE​!

What did God do for you and me to prove that He chose us in much the same way? [Eph 2:8-9]

We can have the same kind of ​INTIMACY​ with God [as David did] if we develop the kind of relationship as David did with God. How?

1. By holding ​NOTHING​ ​BACK​ from Him in all areas of life.

   1. Physically. [2 Sam 7:2, Build YAH a house.]

   2. Emotionally. [Ps 10; 109]

   3. Spiritually. [2 Sam 6, Ark returns to Jerusalem.]

   4. Mentally/creatively. [David wrote _____ Psalms].

2. By ​RESTORING​ a broken relationship! [2 Sam 12:13; Ps 51]

   1. I ​MMEDIATELY​! [2 Sam 12:13]

   2. Complete C ​ONTRITION​! Forgive me! [Ps 51]

3. By seeking to ​INVITE​ others to a similar relationship! [2 Sam 6:26; Ps 51]
